“I started working with Pisces in February 2022. We were with another firm that were local to us in Putney, we just felt that everything was done last minute with them. Our vat return was always done on the final day it was due and we were never really told how to match our bank transactions in Xero. We never had the support that we felt that we needed and it had an effect that our business stagnated and didn’t grow the way that I had hoped. “

OUR APPROACH

After listening to Cato’s Creative priorities and concerns, we tackled their priorities first: prepare VAT returns and train them in Xero. An account manager was assigned to them to handle all their work and help them prepare their vat return and made corrections to the previous returns submitted. We hopped on Zoom calls to discuss any problem or question they might arise in this process.

  1. Set weekly Zoom calls to discuss finances and any problems and to give them advice.

  2. Compiling the finance information into clear documents instead of spread over different spreadsheets that no one in the team knew how to use

  3. Set all documentation in google sheets so that it is shared between the company and us and updated in real time

  4. Set for them how to see the cash coming in and getting paid out of the bank account, how to see an estimated vat and tax bill as they are going through the year and more importantly they can see the pipeline of projects that they are working on and looking to win.

RESULTS

Efficient growth

Their profit has increased because they are more focused on the business, have a clear understanding of how to move the business forward and are now prepared for any tax bill they have to pay.

Output from the team has increased because everyone is clear on what they need to do and they have all bought in to what Cato Creatives are trying to achieve as a business.
