This is the fifth article in a series on how to build a better business. This one is looking at the stage of your business when you are becoming a design agency and have 5 to 10 staff working for you and a turnover between £500,000 and £3,000,000.

You are a small design agency and employ between 5 and 10 staff. The work that you have put in to grow your business is starting to pay. You have staff that can help design and deliver the work for your customers, you are able to attract new customers to your business and you feel that you are getting financial control of your business. You can project when the money will come into the bank and you can forecast and plan for the next twelve months for your business.

Your business is getting more complex and you need to keep in control and have ways to make it easy to do.

The thing is the business is getting more complex. You need to keep on control of all parts of the busines and you are juggling doing the work for customers and managing the business. You need to start to get more expert help into the business. You are scared that if you do not the business will spiral out of control and you will not be able to get it back.

You are ready to make the next step and the freedom that you crave is just around the corner. You just need to perfect the systems that you have and make sure that the staff that you have can help you manage the work and business.

You are not sure how to do this and need help in making this next step and to be guided in how to make this next leap forward.

The first step is to get the financials in place and to be able to get the right advice and information about your business.

You have to do the work and build your business until the point you can have freedom. It will not come by itself you have to work at it.

When you get these set up you can have the freedom that you want.

The aim is to give you freedom. Freedom to do the creative work that you want to, to have freedom to take time off and relax and financial security that you can live the life that you want. This will mean hard work and determination to get to the business and life that you want.

Being held accountable means that you actually do what you need to for your business.

If you are not held accountable for your actions nothing in your business will progress. That is helping you get all the systems and processes that you need to get the freedom that you want. We can help you keep financial control over your business and plan and forecast for the future.
